Tragedy struck at the Akanu Ibiam Airport Police Command in Enugu as a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) collapsed and passed away while on duty.
The DPO, whose identity remains undisclosed, served at the Emene airport station.
Reports indicate that he collapsed at the police station on Wednesday and was swiftly transported to Annunciation Hospital Emene, where medical personnel confirmed his demise.
Efforts to obtain official confirmation from the Enugu Police Command were unsuccessful as the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, had not responded to inquiries at the time of this report.
