The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda, has resigned from her position.
Meranda announced her resignation during Monday’s plenary session, stating that she was stepping down as a personal sacrifice to uphold the integrity of the legislative institution.
DAILY GAZETTE gathered that the Deputy Speaker of the House, Mojeed Fatai, also tendered his resignation.
