Nollywood actress, director and film producer Allwell Ademola has died at the age of 49.
Ademola reportedly passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in Lagos.
Her death was confirmed by fellow actress Faithia Williams, who announced the sad news via her Instagram page.
Expressing her grief, Faithia wrote a brief tribute describing the loss as deeply painful, shortly after Ademola’s passing.
The news came just hours after the actress made what would later become her final post on Instagram, a development that further shocked fans and colleagues in the Nigerian film industry.
Following the announcement, several Nollywood actors, filmmakers and admirers took to social media to mourn her sudden death and pay tribute to her contributions to the industry.
Allwell Ademola featured prominently in both Yoruba and English-language Nollywood productions.
Beyond acting, she was also known for her work behind the scenes as a producer and director, contributing to numerous film projects over the years.
She was a granddaughter of the late Adetokunbo Ademola, a former Chief Justice of Nigeria.
As at the time of filing this report, no official statement had been issued by her family, and details surrounding the circumstances of her death remain undisclosed.
