Political stakeholders in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State have reaffirmed their allegiance to the All Progressives Congress, APC, declaring full support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Peter Mbah in the 2027 general elections.

The declaration followed a stakeholders’ meeting and party engagement convened by the Chairman of Isi-Uzo LGA, Barr. Obiora Obeagu, at the council headquarters in Ikem on Tuesday.

At the meeting, leaders and party faithful from across the local government expressed uncommon unity, describing their support for Governor Mbah as firm and irreversible.

They recalled that the people of Isi-Uzo moved en masse with the governor to the APC on October 14, 2025, stressing that his leadership and developmental strides had earned him their total loyalty.

The stakeholders described Governor Mbah as a visionary and transformative leader, noting that his accomplishments across Enugu State had positioned him as their political anchor.

According to them, wherever the governor stands politically, the people of Isi-Uzo would stand with him.

Addressing the gathering, Barr. Obeagu said the people of Isi-Uzo were proud of Governor Mbah’s achievements and had unanimously resolved to support his re-election alongside that of President Tinubu in 2027.

He said the local government had benefitted significantly from the governor’s development initiatives and expressed confidence that the synergy between Governor Mbah and President Tinubu would further accelerate growth and good governance in Enugu State, particularly in Isi-Uzo.

Obeagu also disclosed that stakeholders had prioritised APC e-registration and voter registration, adding that structures had been put in place to drive massive membership enrollment in the council.

Speaking at the event, the Labour Party governorship candidate in the 2023 election and APC super stakeholder in Isi-Uzo, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga, declared an end to political divisions in the area.

According to him, all tendencies had collapsed into one family, united by the shared goal of aligning with leaders committed to addressing the developmental challenges confronting Isi-Uzo LGA.

Similarly, former Chairman of the Enugu State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Augustine Nnamani, pledged that stakeholders would back their words with action through a large-scale membership drive into the APC.

He said the resolve of the stakeholders would be demonstrated by the number of new members enrolled into the party register in the coming weeks.

Kingsley Ebenyi; former Isi-Uzo council chairmen, Chief Osita Ogene, Benjamin Edeoga and Jacob Abonyi; as well as Prof. Emeka Ogbuabor, Hon. Gabriel Eze, Hon. Edith Nnamani, Hon.
