Canada has announced fresh immigration opportunities for skilled tradespeople, inviting qualified workers from Nigeria and other countries to apply for pathways that could lead to living and working in the North American nation.
The invitation was announced by Immigration,
Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in a social media post on Monday, where the agency encouraged professionals in skilled trades to explore its official immigration programmes.
According to the agency, Canada is looking to attract workers in occupations such as carpentry, plumbing, machining and other skilled trades to help meet growing labour demands and support the country’s infrastructure and community development.
“If you have the training, credentials and experience in the skilled trades we’re looking for, explore our immigration pathways and build your future in Canada,” IRCC stated.
The Canadian immigration agency urged interested applicants to visit its official website to learn about the available immigration streams, eligibility requirements and application procedures.
