Iran has unveiled a giant billboard in Tehran portraying United States President Donald Trump lying inside an open coffin, in a provocative display that comes amid renewed military tensions between the two countries.
The large display depicts Trump with his eyes closed, hands folded over a red tie and placed inside a black coffin formed by concrete barriers similar to those used during the funeral ceremonies of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Printed across the coffin in both Persian and English are the words, “We Will Kill Trump,” while another inscription reads, “In memory of Minab’s children.”
The billboard was erected as relations between Tehran and Washington continue to deteriorate following a fresh round of US military strikes on Iranian targets.
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that American forces carried out coordinated attacks on Iranian command centres, air defence installations, missile and drone facilities, as well as coastal surveillance sites.
According to CENTCOM, the operation, which ended at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, involved precision-guided strikes on multiple locations, including the strategic port city of Bandar Abbas.
The US military said the objective was to weaken Iran’s capacity to threaten commercial shipping transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM also disclosed that American forces conducted a separate 90-minute operation targeting Iranian coastal defence positions and cruise missile facilities on Greater Tunb Island.
The latest developments underscore the growing hostility between Iran and the United States, with both countries exchanging military actions and increasingly confrontational rhetoric in recent weeks.
