Dr. Cosmo Agbo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal Constituency of Enugu State, has dismissed reports circulating on social media suggesting that he has been replaced by the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Agbo, a former Deputy Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area and former Special Assistant to ex-Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, described the reports as false, insisting that he remains firmly in the race.
The PDP candidate addressed the speculation in a post on his verified Facebook page on Friday, seeking to allay the concerns of supporters following the rumours about his candidacy.
A check by DAILY GAZETTE on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) database showed Agbo listed as the PDP candidate for the constituency.
The development comes amid growing political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
