…Gov. Mbah, Nwifuru, Akpabio, Others Expected At Historic Event
The traditional ruler of the Nike-Uno ancient kingdom in Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, His Royal Majesty, Igwe (Dr.) Barr. Julius Nnaji, Eze Odezuluigbo III of Nike, will on Saturday, May 3, 2025, celebrate 25 years of impactful reign, leadership, and dedicated service to his people.
A statement made available to DAILY GAZETTE by the royal family indicates that the grand celebration will also mark the monarch’s 40th anniversary of being called to the Nigerian Bar.
The three-day event will commence on Friday, May 2, 2025, with a traditional visitation and royal outing.
The main ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 3, at the Igwe’s palace in Nike-Uno, starting with a solemn Holy Mass at 10:00 am.
Activities will conclude on Sunday, May 4, with a thanksgiving Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Parish, Iji-Nike, where the community will offer prayers for continued peace, progress and divine guidance for the revered monarch.
The celebration, themed around unity, wisdom, and legacy, is expected to draw high-profile dignitaries from across the country, including the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah; his Ebonyi State counterpart, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru; the President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio; federal and state ministers, traditional and religious leaders, captains of industry, representatives of youth and women groups among others.
