Bishop David Abioye, the retired Vice President of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has officially launched his new ministry, Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly, drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd for its inaugural service held on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

The former senior pastor, who served under Bishop David Oyedepo for decades, marked the beginning of this new chapter with a message centered on divine instruction and spiritual empowerment.

Addressing the congregation, Abioye emphasized that the birth of the new ministry was the result of a divine mandate, not personal ambition or public pressure.

“May I make it very clear that the inauguration of this assembly is not in response to demands of people to start a church, but by the emergence of God’s eternal purpose, ordained from the foundation of the word, which is just coming to light at his own time,” he stated.

Abioye described the ministry’s mission as one rooted in “spiritual development, edification, and triumph of the saints globally.”

He was also careful to clarify his role, noting that he does not see himself as taking on the Great Commission alone.

“I see myself not as someone attempting to fulfil the entire great commission alone, but as a messenger raised for a specific assignment within a larger divine agenda,” he said.

In his concluding remarks, Abioye formally declared the new assembly open and offered a blessing to all attendees.

“On this final note, and to the glory of God, this assembly with the name ‘Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly’, is hereby inaugurated this day, Sunday, 4th May, 2025. In the name of God, the Father, God, the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit, for the spiritual development, edification and triumph of the saints globally and let someone join me to say a loud Amen,” he proclaimed.

“May I, therefore, welcome you specially to Conquerors Global Assembly, and everyone who witnesses this today will not cease to conquer in all affairs of your life. You will be named more than conquerors.”

Abioye’s launch comes months after his retirement from Living Faith Church in October 2024, in line with the church’s updated administrative policy on retirement age.

He stepped down at age 63, following over four decades of ministry service.
