Apple has officially unveiled the much-anticipated iPhone 17 series, introducing slimmer designs, improved cameras, and longer battery life.

The lineup includes four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, all set to begin shipping globally later this month.

Here are 10 important things to know about the new iPhones:

1. Thinnest iPhone Yet
The iPhone 17 Air is just 5.5mm thick, making it Apple’s slimmest phone to date.

2. Made in India
For the first time, every iPhone 17 model is being manufactured in India, thanks to Apple’s partnerships with Foxconn and Tata.

3. Smoother Display
All models are equipped with 120Hz OLED screens, offering ultra-smooth scrolling and a better gaming experience.

4. Selfie Camera Upgrade
The front camera now boasts a 24MP sensor, giving users sharper selfies and clearer video calls.

5. Redesigned Camera Setup
The Pro models come with a horizontal camera bar and support 8K video recording and up to 8x optical zoom.

6. Biggest iPhone Battery Ever
The iPhone 17 Pro Max features a 5,000mAh battery — the largest ever in an iPhone.

7. Lighter Build, New Frame
Apple is swapping titanium for aluminium in the Pro models to make them lighter and better at dissipating heat.

8. Next-Gen Chips
The standard iPhone 17 and Air run on the A19 chip, while the Pro models are powered by the A19 Pro, promising faster performance and better energy efficiency.

9. No More Plus Model
Apple has scrapped the “Plus” variant this year. The new iPhone 17 Air now fills the mid-tier slot between the base and Pro models.

10. New Colour Options
The iPhone 17 series may include fresh colours like green and purple, giving users more style choices.

Pricing for the iPhone 17 series is expected to start at $799 (around ₦1.3 million) in Nigeria, depending on the model and storage size.
