The Nigerian Senate has officially confirmed Professor Joash Amupitan as the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
His confirmation followed a screening session held on Thursday, during which lawmakers assessed his qualifications and vision for the electoral body.
Prof. Amupitan is a seasoned legal scholar and professor of law.
