Traders at the Onitsha Main Market have taken to the streets to protest the Anambra State Government’s decision to shut the market for one week over continued compliance with the sit-at-home order.

traders expressing frustration over the closure, which they say is worsening economic hardship and disrupting their means of livelihood.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo had ordered the shutdown after traders allegedly failed to resume business activities on Mondays despite repeated assurances of improved security in the state.
