Ahead of the 2027 general elections in Enugu State, the Nkanu West Local Government Chairman, Hon. John Ogbodo, has officially launched an aggressive grassroots campaign in support of Governor Peter Mbah’s reelection bid.
The announcement was made on Saturday during the monthly meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nkanu West, where party members and local leaders gathered to discuss strategies for strengthening support at the community level.
Speaking with DAILY GAZETTE, Hon. Ogbodo emphasized the importance of taking the message of Governor Mbah’s achievements directly to the people.
“Our goal is to ensure that every resident in Nkanu West understands the progress made under Governor Mbah’s leadership and why continuity is crucial for the development of our state,” he said.
Ogbodo revealed that the campaign would adopt a multi-pronged approach, including town hall meetings, door-to-door engagement and regular consultations with stakeholders at the ward and village levels.
He stressed that active participation from party members and residents would be essential to the success of the mobilization effort.
“This is not just about winning an election; it’s about ensuring that the people’s voice is heard and that the progress we have made continues,” Ogbodo added.
