President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, and intelligence agencies to launch intensified operations to apprehend those responsible for the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The directive was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, following the massacre that claimed the lives of about 30 residents, including women and children.
According to the President, security agencies have been instructed to swiftly track down the attackers, restore peace to the affected communities, and ensure that those responsible face the full weight of the law.
“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly and restore normalcy to the region,” Tinubu said.
The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture, equipping security personnel, and dismantling criminal networks responsible for violent attacks across the country.
He also appealed to residents to work closely with security agencies by providing credible and timely intelligence that could assist ongoing operations and prevent future attacks.
The presidential directive followed Monday’s assault on Naridon Village, where armed assailants reportedly killed about 30 people, razed several homes, and left the community in mourning.
Describing the attack as “barbaric” and “cowardly,” Tinubu condemned the killings as an unprovoked act of terror against innocent and defenseless citizens.
He assured Nigerians that those behind the attack would be identified, arrested, and prosecuted, stressing that anyone attempting to undermine the peace and security recorded in Kaduna State would not go unpunished.
The President also extended his condolences to the bereaved families, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government, and the people of Kaduna State.
Tinubu further assured the affected communities of the Federal Government’s support as they recover from the tragedy, reiterating his administration’s resolve to confront insecurity and protect lives and property across the country.
