Nigeria’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, has unveiled plans to launch a political support group, As Tinubu and Mbah Move (ATM), to mobilise support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah in 2027.

The minister has also provided 17 branded Toyota buses to facilitate the group’s grassroots mobilisation activities ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Udeh disclosed this during a strategy meeting with members of the movement on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at its secretariat, where preparations for the formal unveiling of ATM and the commencement of its activities were discussed.

He urged members to intensify efforts towards securing victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly in the presidential and governorship elections.

The minister explained that the buses were intended to strengthen the movement’s operational capacity and facilitate its presence across communities, wards and polling units.

Expressing confidence in the re-election prospects of Tinubu and Mbah, Udeh cautioned members against limiting their activities to publicity and rhetoric, insisting that the group must demonstrate its commitment through practical grassroots engagement.

“I want this group to be different so that it will not end in noise-making. The aim is to make APC win from top to bottom, especially the President and the Governor,” he said.

He further charged members to take responsibility for mobilising voters and ensuring the party’s success in their respective wards and polling units.

“Politics is local. Everybody should work to ensure that APC wins in their respective wards and polling units,” the minister added.

Udeh said ATM was conceived as a platform for members to participate actively in the political process, connect with political leaders and contribute to the party’s mobilisation efforts.

He added that the initiative would also provide members with opportunities to engage government officials and draw attention to challenges affecting their communities.

Describing himself as someone who was not a career politician, the minister said integrity and the fulfilment of commitments remained important principles in his dealings with people.

He also pledged to devote more time to the South-East during the campaign period to coordinate and strengthen the movement’s activities.

Earlier, the ATM Coordinator, Igboke Onyebuchi, said the strategy meeting was convened to establish and ratify the group’s organisational structures ahead of the commencement of local government-level mobilisation in November.

Onyebuchi described ATM as a political movement designed to rally support for Tinubu and Mbah, noting that some members were motivated by their desire to support the governor and acknowledge his role in Udeh’s appointment as a minister.

“We are doing this to support the governor for giving such a smart young person the opportunity to be a minister. This has not happened in recent times,” he said.

He explained that the movement brought together community mobilisers, union leaders and individuals from the civic space, including professionals and others who were not career politicians but were willing to contribute to the political process.

According to him, ATM intends to adopt an innovative, community-driven approach to political mobilisation, with particular attention to rural communities and the strengthening of existing APC grassroots structures.

He disclosed that a community mapping initiative had already been developed to guide the group’s engagement with residents and improve the reach of its mobilisation activities.

The coordinator commended Udeh for providing the platform for members to participate in politics, expressing hope that the initiative would encourage greater involvement of young people with strong professional and intellectual backgrounds in the country’s political process.
