The Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial zone at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Sir. Kelvin Chukwu, has commended the Founder and Chairman of Geometric Power Group, Prof. Bart. Nnaji, describing him as a trailblazer, a pathfinder, and a scholar of international repute who has painstakingly transformed his knowledge into reality exemplified in the Geometric Power Limited, the first indigenous private integrated power project in Nigeria.

Prof. Nnaji’s outstanding ingenuity, patriotism and dedication to duty metamorphosed into this project being commissioned this day 26th February, 2024, by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

With the commissioning of Geometric Power LTD, Nigeria is now set to witness stable and affordable power supply that will catapult the Nation into economic prosperity.

Senator Chukwu, commended the National Assembly for passing the legislation that provided the necessary legal framework for genuine private investments in the power sector, while appreciating President Tinubu for assenting to the bill.

Senator Chukwu further cautioned against politicizing opportunities for private investments in the power sector, stressing that stable power supply is key to industrialization, self sufficiency and economic stability.

“No doubt, Prof. Bart Nnaji, Onwa, has set the pace in revolutionizing the Nigeria’s power sector and it is highly commendable” he noted.

The Labour Party federal lawmaker assured that the National Assembly will continue to pass legislations that will improve the economy and the welfare of Nigerians.

Prof. Bart Nnaji is the first Africa’s Professor of Robotics Engineering, Former minister of Power, Former minister of science and technology among other leadership roles.
