The tax evasion case against Binance Holdings Limited and its top officials, Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla, has been adjourned by the Federal High Court in Abuja until April 19, 2024.
This adjournment came after the FIRS failed to serve Gambaryan with the charges while he remains in EFCC custody.

Meanwhile, the EFCC’s alleged money laundering case against Binance is progressing.
The Binance official present in court was brought before Justice Nwite, who has been specially assigned to handle the case due to its significant national implications.
The charges include money laundering and operating specialized businesses in Nigeria without the necessary license, totaling a five-count indictment.
Binance Holdings Limited is further accused of failing to register with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and neglecting to issue invoices to subscribers on its trading platform, allegedly evading payment of value-added taxes.
Binance released an official statement on April 3rd, clarifying that the employee of Binance still in custody in Nigeria is not part of Binance management.
