The Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos has been officially reopened to the public following an extensive five-month repair period.

Mrs. Olukorede Keisha, representing the Minister of Works, Mr. David Umahi, announced the completion of the project, which was finished a month ahead of schedule.

While some finishing touches, such as the installation of solar lights and CCTV, are still underway, they are not expected to disrupt traffic flow.

Speaking on behalf of the minister, Mrs. Keisha assured that the ongoing underdeck and underwater works would strengthen the bridge’s integrity without causing inconvenience to commuters.

She expressed gratitude to Governor Babajide Sanwoolu for his support in managing traffic during the construction phase and commended motorists and commuters for their cooperation throughout the process
