The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for showing “capacity in governance,” asserting that Nigeria is beginning to see positive changes under his leadership.
Speaking with reporters in Awka on Wednesday, Ukachukwu stated that the APC’s policies at the national level would be mirrored in Anambra if the party emerges victorious in the November 8 gubernatorial election.
“President Tinubu has shown capacity in governance. Things are beginning to fall into place. The attacks by the opposition will not take them anywhere,” he said.
Ukachukwu criticised opposition voices, accusing them of lacking the foresight that Tinubu has brought to national leadership.
“The opposition who are criticising the APC administration of Tinubu do not have the vision he has brought into governance. He is using his policies to show the light for Nigeria.”
Turning his attention to the security challenges in Anambra State, Ukachukwu decried the rising cases of kidnapping and killings, attributing part of the insecurity to the alleged activities of armed groups associated with the state government.
He vowed that if APC wins, the influence of such groups would be dismantled and replaced by the appropriate security structures.
“Those Agunechemba, Ndi Aka Odo, Operation Udo Ga Achi will not come out during the election, I assure you that. The only security that will be out that day are the Police, Military, DSS etc., and not vigilante. They will not have any place to operate that day.”
He further assured that under an APC-led government, such outfits would be disbanded entirely.
“If APC wins the governorship election, Ndi Aka Odo that have been disfiguring young men in this state will be dismantled because they are evil.”
