Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his wife, Chioma Rowland, have touched down in Miami, Florida, as final preparations are underway for their highly anticipated white wedding ceremony.
The couple, who legally tied the knot in March 2023, were seen boarding a private jet adorned with floral decor and a seat marked “MRS,” a nod to the upcoming celebration.
Davido gave fans a glimpse of the journey via his Instagram story, posting a clip from the jet and tagging the location as Miami.
Although the exact date of the wedding has not been officially disclosed, insiders suggest the event is slated for Saturday.
Among the high-profile guests already confirmed is the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle, who has travelled to the U.S. for the ceremony.
The governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, confirmed the trip, addressing public concern sparked by the state’s opposition party over his sudden absence.
Davido and Chioma’s relationship, which began several years ago, has weathered its fair share of challenges.
After getting engaged in 2019, the couple faced a public rough patch in 2021 amid infidelity rumors.
Tragedy struck in October 2022 when their first child, Ifeanyi, tragically passed away in a drowning incident at their Lagos home.
In a turn of joy, the couple welcomed twins in the U.S. in October 2023, and held their traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.
Recently, Davido sparked buzz online by claiming that Chioma’s wedding ring is valued at the price of “two or three Rolls-Royces.”
