The Nigeria Police Force has formally graduated 10,000 newly trained constables following the successful completion of their training programs at various police colleges and training centres across the country.

The Passing Out Parade was held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, simultaneously at all designated institutions.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, this development marks a major stride in the Police’s ongoing strategy to boost its personnel strength and align with international best practices in law enforcement.

In his address to the new officers, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, commended the recruits for their dedication throughout the intensive training period. He urged them to uphold values of honour, diligence and patriotism, which were instilled during their instruction.

“The IGP praised their resilience and called on them to embody the ethical standards and professionalism expected of modern law enforcement officers,” said Hundeyin.

The training curriculum focused on modern policing techniques, community engagement, intelligence-driven operations, respect for human rights, and responsible use of authority.

It was designed to equip the officers with the necessary skills to address the evolving challenges of 21st-century policing.

This cohort represents a key part of the Force’s manpower expansion plan under the current administration, aimed at improving security presence nationwide, enhancing response times and strengthening public safety.

Notably, this is the second batch of 10,000 constables to pass out this year, the first having graduated in January 2025.

The IGP also reaffirmed the Police’s commitment to continuous training, improved welfare and institutional reforms that will consolidate the progress made so far and build a safer, more secure Nigeria for all.
