Senator Ned Nwoko has verified the authenticity of medical and toxicology reports circulating online about his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, confirming that the documents originated from medical and rehabilitation facilities where she had undergone treatment.

The confirmation was contained in a two-part statement issued by the Communication Team of the Office of Senator Ned Nwoko.

The senator said the reports, which have been widely shared on social media, highlight serious concerns about Regina’s health, including the presence of multiple substances in her system at dangerous levels.

According to the statement, the toxicology report, alongside findings from Serenity Hospital, listed high concentrations of marijuana, cocaine, morphine, opiates, and critically elevated alcohol levels.

A report from Nizamiya Hospital dated October 3 further revealed that Regina was brought in unconscious after suffering a drug overdose.

The senator’s office clarified that the rehabilitation centre where Regina was admitted did not disclaim the reports.

Instead, it stressed that the facility merely distanced itself from leaking the documents, as required under medical confidentiality guidelines.

The statement accused some of Regina’s siblings of sabotaging her treatment.

According to the rehabilitation centre’s account, her siblings allegedly supplied her with alcohol and marijuana while she was still in rehab, making it impossible for her to complete the programme.

Nwoko explained that his calls for sustained therapy and rehabilitation stem from genuine fear for Regina’s wellbeing and the safety of their two young sons.

He said her recent behaviour, particularly online, indicates she is not in a stable frame of mind and is heavily influenced by outsiders rather than medical professionals or her family.

The statement noted:

“The reports are genuine. Both the toxicology and hospital findings confirm substances at levels that pose severe health risks. The Nizamiya Hospital report also shows she was admitted unconscious from an overdose. These are documented facts.”

It added that earlier attempts to handle Regina’s condition quietly had failed, prompting the decision to speak publicly. According to the senator, the severity of the situation made further silence irresponsible.

Nwoko’s office said the senator’s priority is ensuring Regina receives consistent treatment and regains her health.

It stressed that denial, interference, and enabling behaviour from those around her are preventing meaningful recovery.

“The Senator is deeply concerned. He wants Regina to recover, to be safe, and to remain present for their two sons. He will continue to fulfil his responsibility to protect her and help restore her wellbeing.”

The statement added that Regina needs stability, medical guidance and a supportive environment, not further exposure to substances or individuals who undermine her recovery.
