The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have condemned the armed attack on Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, Maga, in Danko/Wasagu LGA, Kebbi State, which left 25 students abducted and the vice principal, Hassan Makuku, killed.

According to the police, the assailants, armed with sophisticated weapons, stormed the school around 4:00 am on Monday, abducted students from their hostel, fatally shot the vice principal, and injured another staff member, Ali Shehu, in the right hand.

In a statement, PDP National Publicity Secretary Ini Ememobong described the incident as “tragic” and highlighted the rising insecurity under the Tinubu-led APC administration.

The party called on the federal government to take urgent measures to protect lives and prevent similar incidents, citing recent kidnappings in Nasarawa, Plateau, Kano, and Katsina.

Similarly, ADC spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi condemned the attack as a “painful reminder of worsening insecurity” nationwide.

The party emphasized that the abduction was part of a broader pattern of attacks targeting schools, communities, and civilians, and urged President Tinubu and security agencies to respond urgently and decisively.

“The abducted girls must be rescued immediately. The government must make this a national security priority,” the ADC stated, recalling the 2014 Chibok girls’ abduction and warning against repeating history.

Both parties extended condolences to the families affected and vowed to continue monitoring the situation closely.
