U.S President Donald Trump on Tuesday made bold claims about American military dominance over Iran, declaring on his Truth Social platform that the United States now exercises “complete and total control of the skies over Iran.”
“We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran,” Trump wrote, lauding the effectiveness of U.S – made military hardware.
While he refrained from directly mentioning Israel, his remarks came amid intensifying speculation over potential U.S. involvement in Israel’s ongoing military actions against Tehran.
“Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA,” he added in a characteristically boastful tone.
In another series of posts, Trump turned up the pressure on Iran’s leadership, particularly targeting Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
He stated that the U.S. intelligence community knows Khamenei’s exact location, but emphasized that there were no plans to assassinate him, “for now.”
“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there, We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now,” Trump posted.
His language continued to escalate when he followed up with a single, forceful demand: “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”, leaving no doubt about the level of pressure he intended to apply.
Trump also said:
“But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
The president had just returned early from the G7 summit in Canada as tensions between Iran and Israel intensified.
He was scheduled to hold critical meetings with national security officials in the White House Situation Room on Tuesday.
Despite his aggressive tone, Trump reiterated that the United States has not yet formally entered the conflict.
He noted that Iran still has the option to accept a deal aimed at dismantling its nuclear program, a proposal he claims predates the recent Israeli strikes.
However, the increasing frequency and tone of his statements have raised concerns that U.S military involvement may soon be on the table
