The Executive Chairman of Nkanu West Local Government Area in Enugu State, Hon. John Ogbodo, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging citizens to embrace love, unity, and peaceful coexistence.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Ogbodo described the end of Ramadan as a period of deep spiritual reflection, gratitude to Allah, and renewed commitment to the values of sacrifice, tolerance, and compassion.

He noted that Eid-el-Fitr goes beyond celebration, stressing that it provides an opportunity to strengthen communal bonds through prayers, acts of charity, family visits, and the sharing of gifts, all of which promote harmony and collective joy.

The council boss also used the occasion to call on residents to sustain their support for the administration of Peter Mbah, citing the need for continuity in governance and development across the state.

“Ramadan Kareem to the Muslim Ummah in Nkanu West and all the faithful across the country celebrating this important feast,” he said.

“Eid-el-Fitr reminds us that love, sacrifice, and tolerance remain the strongest pillars of harmony and mutual coexistence.

“As you celebrate, let your actions reflect genuine love and kindness. Put a smile on someone’s face and spread happiness wherever you go.

“Let love, compassion, and unity guide our daily lives. I also urge Ndị Enugu to continue supporting the administration of Governor Peter Mbah as he works tirelessly to transform our state.

“Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones.”
