Return To Father, Mother, Self: Ogilisi Igbo Calls On Ndigbo To Honor Sun, Moon, And Earth

“Read, share, and receive the miracle of the divine. This is the true source of miracles.”

Ogilisi Igbo, a prominent spiritual leader of the Igbo nation, has called on Ndi Igbo worldwide to return to the eternal truths of their ancestors.

He declared that life itself rests on both the cosmic trinity of the Sun, Moon, and Earth, and the biological trinity of Father, Mother, and Self.

He affirmed his identity as Ogilisi Igbo mara mma na Igbo, the Ogilisi Igbo who truly serves and benefits the people.

He urged a global revival of Ndi Igbo, encouraging them to rediscover and embrace their ancestral path to spiritual and cultural transcendence.

According to Ogilisi Igbo, the Igbo are the true children of the Most High God, and their ancestors understood the eternal mysteries of life long before foreign religions arrived.

Ogilisi Igbo explained that the ancestors revered the Sun (Anyanwu), the Moon (Onwa), and the Earth (Uwa/Ana) as an eternal trinity:

  • Sun (Anyanwu): Source of life and energy
  • Moon (Onwa): Governs fertility, childbirth, and the rhythm of creation
  • Earth (Uwa/Ana): Provides the human body, food, and shelter

This cosmic trinity, experienced daily, represents eternal truth. In Latin, it is referred to as Sol, Luna, Terra. Ogilisi Igbo emphasized that beliefs outside this visible trinity are misleading and false.

Ogilisi Igbo criticized the Christian doctrine of the “Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,” describing it as an abstract illusion.

He compared it to “selling your own house to live as a tenant in someone else’s home.”

Instead, he urged Ndi Igbo to reconnect with the truths of their ancestors, truths rooted in nature and direct communion with the universe.

Beyond the cosmic trinity, Ogilisi Igbo introduced the biological trinity of Father, Mother, and Self (Chi).

He called on Igbo families to honor their parents and themselves by placing their names and photographs in a sacred space at home, rather than venerating foreign saints.

True prayers, he explained, should be offered in the names of Father, Mother, and Self, followed by chanting the cosmic trinity: Sol-Luna-Terra or Anyanwu-Onwa-Uwa, seven times to receive the miracle of life.

Ogilisi Igbo’s message is both spiritual and cultural.

He urged Ndi Igbo, at home and in the diaspora, to recognize their divine heritage. By embracing the cosmic trinity, Sun, Moon and Earth, and the biological trinity of family, they can reclaim the wisdom and power of their ancestors.

He emphasized the practical and observable nature of these truths:

“Move from the known to the unknown. Without your father and mother, you cannot exist. Without the Sun, Moon, and Earth, you cannot exist.

Work with what you see and know to understand the mysteries of existence.

Believe in your parents and in the Sun, Moon, and Earth, they are the source of your being. Obey the laws of creation and honor these elements. Outside this, you are lost.”

Ogilisi Igbo explained that traditional practice, like orienting the body toward the Sun during burial, reflect ancient knowledge of the pathway back to the Sun.

Any doctrine that encourages disrespect for ancestors is dangerous, he said, because today’s living will one day be tomorrow’s ancestors.

He stated that understanding the cosmic and biological trinity is essential to grasping deeper spiritual truths.

“Any belief system that despises ancestors while claiming creation must first acknowledge the Sun, Moon, and Earth,” he said.

He further argued that every religion, from African traditional faiths to Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and Judaism, relies fundamentally on these elements for its existence.

Ogilisi Igbo said his sermon is intended for the few who can truly comprehend this mystery.

He urged readers to share the message and warned that those who reject it remain in ignorance.

“The message is for the chosen few. Whoever reads this should share it. The doubters, the ndi efulefu, are the unfortunate majority,” he stated.

BREAKING: Naval Officer Who Confronted Wike Escapes Assassination Attempt In Abuja

A young officer in the Nigerian Navy, Lt. A.M. Yarima, reportedly survived an assassination attempt on Sunday evening in Abuja, following a recent confrontation with the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.

According to military sources, Yarima was followed by unidentified men in black clothing who were traveling in two unmarked Hilux vehicles without number plates.

The assailants reportedly trailed him from the NIPCO Filling Station along the Line Expressway to Gado Nasco Way.

The officer, sensing the pursuit, executed what the source described as a “strategic maneuver,” successfully avoiding the attackers.

The incident reportedly took place around 6:30 p.m. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities withholding further details to avoid compromising the process.

The attack comes shortly after Yarima, while on duty with other security personnel, was involved in a tense confrontation with Minister Wike over a disputed land site in Gaduwa District.

A video of the clash went viral, generating widespread debate and prompting the Presidency to halt the demolition exercise at the site.

Military veterans across the country have criticised Wike for verbally insulting the officer and rejected calls for Yarima to face disciplinary action.

Abiodun Durowaiye-Herberts, spokesman for the Coalition of Retired Veterans, warned that ex-service members would “occupy the office and residence of the FCT Minister” if Yarima were punished.

Durowaiye-Herberts stressed that military personnel serve the nation, not individual officials, and demanded that Wike apologize for his remarks.

“How can a public office holder call an officer ‘a fool’ on camera?” he questioned, arguing that such conduct undermines both the military and public office.

Meanwhile, Minister of Defence Mohammad Badaru Abubakar reassured that military personnel acting lawfully would be protected.

Speaking at a briefing for the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day at the National Defence College, he said, “Any officer on lawful duty will be protected if he is doing his job lawfully and doing it well.”

Veterans had earlier vowed to mobilize and occupy the FCT Ministry should Yarima face any disciplinary action.

NBA Backs Calls For Election Cases To Be Decided Before Swearing-In

The Akure branch of the Nigerian Bar Association has thrown its weight behind the growing national demand for all election disputes to be concluded before winners announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission are inaugurated.

The position was contained in a communiqué issued on Sunday by the branch chairman, Barrister Onimisi Umar, following the 2025 Law Week held between November 9 and 14 in honour of former Ondo North lawmaker, Senator Bode Olajumoke.

The event focused on the theme, “Nigeria: Quest for a Utilitarian Judiciary and Role for Stakeholders.”

According to the communiqué, the branch endorsed the National Assembly’s ongoing constitutional review seeking to shorten the timeframe for election litigation.

The proposal aims to reduce the 180-day period for tribunal judgments to 90 days, with an accelerated appeal process up to the Supreme Court.

The NBA argued that resolving disputes before inauguration would protect electoral integrity and prevent situations where candidates occupy office while their mandates remain legally contested.

It also urged lawmakers to simplify the Electoral Act to eliminate legal ambiguities that politicians often exploit.

However, the association cautioned against placing excessive burdens on the judiciary by flooding courts with election-related cases, noting that such overload could slow down regular judicial activities.

It called for a balanced approach that ensures the executive and legislature uphold electoral standards while not undermining the courts.

The communiqué further criticised the judiciary’s continued financial dependence on the executive, describing it as a major obstacle to full judicial independence.

It alleged that between 60 and 70 per cent of judiciary allocations are routinely withheld by the executive, hampering operations and leaving judges vulnerable to political pressure.

It urged the immediate enforcement of Section 121(3)(c) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), which guarantees financial autonomy for the judiciary.

To this end, the NBA announced the creation of an ad-hoc committee to engage the executive and legislature to ensure compliance.

The association also advocated full implementation of the Correctional Service Act, 2019, especially in the areas of rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-inmates.

It called on the Ondo State government, led by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to establish a dedicated department for correctional reforms, create better data systems for tracking rehabilitation outcomes, and set up well-funded halfway homes across the state.

It additionally recommended public-private partnerships for reintegration programmes and continuous training of correctional officers to meet modern professional standards.

The NBA further advised businesses and commercial stakeholders to embrace Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms in their contracts, stressing that not every disagreement should end up in court.

Rivers PDP Rejects Convention Result, Commends INEC For Staying Away

The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has condemned Saturday’s national convention held in Ibadan, describing it as illegal and unacceptable.

In a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Kenneth Yowika, the party applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission for boycotting the convention, saying the commission’s decision demonstrated respect for the rule of law.

According to the statement, two Federal High Courts had issued orders restraining the PDP from conducting the convention, while a separate High Court in Ibadan permitted it to go ahead.

Despite the conflicting rulings, the party proceeded with the exercise, electing new national officers and dissolving some state executive committees.

Yowika dismissed the event as a “sham,” accusing its organisers of openly violating subsisting court orders.

He said INEC’s refusal to participate was a clear indication of its commitment to democratic norms and judicial integrity.

The Rivers PDP expressed optimism that a competent court would overturn the convention and urged party members to remain calm and allow the legal process to run its course.

“The ill-advised convention cannot survive judicial scrutiny, especially as the matter is already before the Court of Appeal. We place our trust in the judiciary and encourage all our members to do the same,” the statement added.

Convention: Amid INEC Boycott, PDP Governors Split As Party Expels Wike, Fayose, Anyanwu, Others

The crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deepened yesterday as the Damagum-led faction proceeded with its controversial national convention in Ibadan, expelling several top party figures, including Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, and National Legal Adviser Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN).

The faction also dissolved party executives in Rivers, Abia, Imo, Plateau, and Enugu states, which are largely controlled by Wike’s allies.

But two PDP governors, Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa and Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, promptly disowned the expulsions, insisting they were neither consulted nor supportive of the move.

Former Special Duties Minister Kabiru Tanimu Turaki was elected unopposed as National Chairman after Senator Yakubu Lado stepped down.

His emergence came amid a boycott by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which stayed away following two Federal High Court rulings directing it not to monitor the event.

The absence of INEC officials and several prominent party figures, including former Senate President Bukola Saraki, former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido, Governors Ademola Adeleke and Siminalayi Fubara, and legislative minority leaders, highlighted the deepening fissures within the party.

Governor Fintiri, writing on his X handle, said expelling Wike and others would only worsen the PDP’s internal crisis and harm ongoing reconciliation efforts.

Mutfwang shared similar concerns, stating that the matter was never discussed at the Governors Forum or the National Executive Committee (NEC).

Both governors called for unity, dialogue, and a more strategic approach to resolving internal disputes.

Expelled National Organising Secretary Umar Bature condemned the exercise as illegal.

Wike’s aide, Lere Olayinka, dismissed the convention as a mere “party” in Ibadan, while Deputy National Youth Leader Timothy Osadolor described the expulsion as null and void, accusing organizers of acting out of personal ambition, particularly pointing at Governor Seyi Makinde.

Osadolor warned that legitimate party organs could become non-existent after December 10 when the current NWC’s tenure expires, plunging the PDP into a constitutional vacuum unless genuine reconciliation takes place.

A contrary view came from former lawmaker Hon. Teejay Yusuf, who argued that the visible presence of PDP banners in Ibadan at least proved the party was still active.

The Kebbi PDP chapter refused to attend the convention, opposing Turaki’s candidacy on the grounds that he was suspended in April 2023 for alleged anti-party activities and failure to pay dues.

In a petition to the screening committee, the chapter said any delegate claiming to represent Kebbi at the convention lacked its backing.

In another twist, the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Damagum faction disowned the report of its Reconciliation Committee, describing it as unofficial and unadopted.

The BoT insisted the convention must proceed as scheduled, citing a Supreme Court ruling that internal party affairs are beyond the courts’ jurisdiction.

It also rejected suggestions for a caretaker committee, affirming its commitment to electing new officers through the convention.

The convention held amid conflicting court orders.
– Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, halted the exercise over Lamido’s claim that he was barred from contesting the chairmanship.
– An Oyo State High Court extended an earlier order permitting the convention to continue.
– Another Federal High Court judge, Justice James Omotosho, ruled that INEC should not monitor or recognise the outcome due to alleged violations of party guidelines.

At one point, Chairman of the Convention Organising Committee, Governor Fintiri, announced he could not proceed without INEC. But following a motion by Senator Ben Obi and a voice vote by delegates, the committee was mandated to continue.

Governor Seyi Makinde declared the Ibadan convention a turning point for the party and urged delegates to enjoy Oyo State’s hospitality. Governors present included Makinde (Oyo), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Fintiri (Adamawa), and Mutfwang (Plateau).

Other attendees included former Governors Jonah Jang, Ibrahim Shekarau, and Olagunsoye Oyinlola; Chief Tom Ikimi; Senators Ahmed Ningi and Natasha Akpoti; Chief Adolphus Wabara; and Ladi Adebutu.

Yesterday’s events mark the party’s biggest internal rupture since 2014, when the N-PDP bloc—led by Kawu Baraje and including Atiku Abubakar, Bukola Saraki, and Rotimi Amaechi—left the PDP to join forces with the ANPP, CPC, and ACN to form the APC. The coalition went on to win the 2015 presidential election.

Ned Nwoko Breaks Silence On Regina Daniels’ Leaked Medical Report

Senator Ned Nwoko has verified the authenticity of medical and toxicology reports circulating online about his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, confirming that the documents originated from medical and rehabilitation facilities where she had undergone treatment.

The confirmation was contained in a two-part statement issued by the Communication Team of the Office of Senator Ned Nwoko.

The senator said the reports, which have been widely shared on social media, highlight serious concerns about Regina’s health, including the presence of multiple substances in her system at dangerous levels.

According to the statement, the toxicology report, alongside findings from Serenity Hospital, listed high concentrations of marijuana, cocaine, morphine, opiates, and critically elevated alcohol levels.

A report from Nizamiya Hospital dated October 3 further revealed that Regina was brought in unconscious after suffering a drug overdose.

The senator’s office clarified that the rehabilitation centre where Regina was admitted did not disclaim the reports.

Instead, it stressed that the facility merely distanced itself from leaking the documents, as required under medical confidentiality guidelines.

The statement accused some of Regina’s siblings of sabotaging her treatment.

According to the rehabilitation centre’s account, her siblings allegedly supplied her with alcohol and marijuana while she was still in rehab, making it impossible for her to complete the programme.

Nwoko explained that his calls for sustained therapy and rehabilitation stem from genuine fear for Regina’s wellbeing and the safety of their two young sons.

He said her recent behaviour, particularly online, indicates she is not in a stable frame of mind and is heavily influenced by outsiders rather than medical professionals or her family.

The statement noted:

“The reports are genuine. Both the toxicology and hospital findings confirm substances at levels that pose severe health risks. The Nizamiya Hospital report also shows she was admitted unconscious from an overdose. These are documented facts.”

It added that earlier attempts to handle Regina’s condition quietly had failed, prompting the decision to speak publicly. According to the senator, the severity of the situation made further silence irresponsible.

Nwoko’s office said the senator’s priority is ensuring Regina receives consistent treatment and regains her health.

It stressed that denial, interference, and enabling behaviour from those around her are preventing meaningful recovery.

“The Senator is deeply concerned. He wants Regina to recover, to be safe, and to remain present for their two sons. He will continue to fulfil his responsibility to protect her and help restore her wellbeing.”

The statement added that Regina needs stability, medical guidance and a supportive environment, not further exposure to substances or individuals who undermine her recovery.

JUST IN: UNIZIK Gets New Vice Chancellor

The Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has appointed a substantive Vice Chancellor, one year after President Bola Tinubu revoked the earlier appointment of Prof. Bernard Odoh as VC of the institution.

Odoh’s selection was cancelled following controversies surrounding the recruitment process and questions raised about his academic credentials.

Both the Academic Staff Union of Universities and the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, UNIZIK chapter, had described the appointment as irregular, noting that the matter was already before the courts.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Sunday, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Olugbenga Kukoyi, announced Professor Bond Anyaechie as the new Vice Chancellor, stressing that the council followed a credible selection process.

“I am pleased to announce Professor Bond Anyaechie as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University after a thorough and transparent process,” Kukoyi stated.

Anyaechie, a professor of Medical Physiology and Clinical Measurement, has nearly 20 years of teaching experience at the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.

He obtained his MBBS from Abia State University, Uturu, in 1998, earned a master’s degree in 2004, completed his PhD in 2009, and received a Master of Public Health in 2011.

His academic career began at the College of Medicine, Imo State University, in 2002 as a part-time lecturer before becoming a full-time academic.

He joined the University of Nigeria in 2007, rose to the rank of Reader, and was promoted to Professor of Physiology and Clinical Measurement in 2013.

Between 2018 and 2022, he served as Deputy Provost of the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria.

He was also Acting Provost of the College of Medicine, Imo State University, and later served as a visiting professor on a pro bono basis from 2020 to 2022.

14 Churches Attacked, 117 Worshippers Killed In Enugu In Four Years – New Report

A new report by the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety) has revealed that 14 churches in Enugu State were attacked by armed jihadists between May 2021 and June 2025, leading to the deaths of 117 worshippers.

According to the organisation, the attacks occurred mainly in Eha-Amufu, Isiuzo Local Government Area and involved 12 Anglican churches and two Catholic parishes.

Many of the recovered bodies were reportedly buried within affected communities.

The breakdown of incidents includes Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Mgbuji (May 2021), where 25 people were killed; St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Ogbete (January 2022), with 40 deaths; St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Ngene Aguiyi (January 2022), which recorded four deaths; and St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Mgbede (January 2022), which reported no casualties.
Other incidents include St. Michael and All Angels Church, Okpurigwu (January 2022) with two deaths; Christ Church, Onumgba (January 2022); Anglican Church, Obodoudo (January 2022) with five deaths; Anglican Church, Okpokwu-Agumede (January 2022) with four casualties; Church of Advent, Ememamanu (January 2023) with one casualty; All Saints Anglican Church, Onicha-Ebia (March 2024) with one death; Christ Anglican Church, Amaofia (May 2024) with four deaths; and Victory Anglican Church, Iyiasa (June 2025) with two deaths.

The most recent attacks, at Our Saviour’s Iyi-Asaa and St. Paul’s Ikpakpara in June 2025, accounted for nine and 20 casualties respectively.

The report, signed by Intersociety Chairperson Emeka Umeagbalasi and several human rights lawyers, explains that most residents fled their communities between 2021 and 2024.

Many churches remained deserted for years and only reopened in 2025 under tight security surveillance.

Intersociety further warned that the South-East faces increasing threats from jihadist-linked Fulani militants, whom the organisation claims are occupying over 950 forest locations across 800 of the region’s 1,940 autonomous communities.

The group criticised the governors of the South-East for allegedly denying the presence of armed herders in forested areas, insisting that its data reveals extensive infiltration and heightened danger for local communities and religious institutions.

Meanwhile, the Enugu State Police Command, in a separate development, disclosed in September that it arrested 5,176 suspected criminals, including kidnappers, armed robbers, murderers, and cultists, between March 11 and September 11, 2025.

Commissioner of Police, Mamam Bitrus Giwa said the arrests were the outcome of intelligence-driven operations, raids on criminal hideouts, surveillance, and routine stop-and-search activities.

He added that 113 kidnapped victims were rescued during the same period, with many reunited with their families.

“We remain unwavering in our efforts to keep Enugu State safe for residents, investors, and visitors,” the commissioner said.

One Feared Dead As Bus Crashes Into Shop In Enugu

One person is feared dead after a fully loaded commercial bus lost control and crashed into a provisions shop at Imezi Owa in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The accident occurred on Friday evening near a settlement close to the local government headquarters.

The eighteen-seater bus, reportedly loaded in Enugu and heading to Onitsha in Anambra State, veered off the road before hitting several structures and individuals.

An eyewitness, Mary Ann, said the bus was moving at high speed moments before the crash.

“The driver lost control. The bus sped past our shop, hit a man on a motorcycle, and he fell unconscious. He was immediately rushed to the hospital,” she said.

Another eyewitness, a vulcaniser, described the scene as “terrible,” adding that the bus first hit another bus that was wrongly parked, then rammed into two motorcycles and destroyed a POS kiosk.

Several roadside shops were also damaged.

He added that the major casualty was the owner of a provisions shop whose business was directly struck by the bus.

“The driver must have tried to avoid more casualties and diverted toward a water tank beside the shop. The tank was destroyed, which reduced the impact before the bus landed inside the shop. Many items were destroyed. It even jumped over the drainage,” he narrated.

The driver was not immediately identified at the scene.

“We didn’t see who the driver was. Maybe he didn’t run away, but no one could identify him. Drivers should always maintain their vehicles to avoid accidents like this. Many people were injured,” he added.

DAILY GAZETTE learned that the shop owner, a woman, had stepped out briefly before the crash.

“She would have been gone,” an Okada rider said.

Some passengers aboard the bus reportedly sustained various degrees of injuries.
