Pastor Paul Adefarasin, founder of House on the Rock Church, has responded to concerns regarding a viral video that appeared to show him brandishing a firearm.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Adefarasin clarified that the object in question was not a firearm and emphasized that he did not point it at anyone.

He acknowledged the public’s concern and assured his congregation that he would address the matter in more detail during the 9:00 AM service.

He also expressed gratitude for their patience and understanding.

In his message, Adefarasin wrote:

“Dear Family, Trusting that this meets you well, winning and on top of the tests of life.

“You might be aware of a video which has been circulating on social media showing me in what some have misunderstood as brandishing a firearm.”

“I want to assure you of this that, that was certainly not a firearm, and at no point did I point such at anyone.”

“We understand the concern that this accusation may have caused, and we will speak briefly to this mischief during the 9:00 am service tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

The video had sparked widespread discussion online, with many expressing concern over the implications of such an incident involving a religious leader.

Adefarasin’s forthcoming address is anticipated to provide further clarification and quell any misunderstandings.
