Iran has issued a stern warning that it will respond with force to any Israeli military strike, particularly targeting what it described as “hidden nuclear facilities” within Israel.

The warning, delivered by Iran’s top security body, comes amid growing tensions between the two countries.

According to a statement from the Supreme National Security Council, Iran has gathered intelligence on Israel’s undeclared nuclear infrastructure and is prepared to act immediately in the event of an attack.

“The fighters of Islam [are ready] to immediately strike Israel’s hidden nuclear facilities in response to any possible attack by the Zionist regime on Iran’s nuclear facilities,” the statement read.

The warning follows repeated threats from Israeli officials who have said they are prepared to act unilaterally to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, an allegation Tehran continues to deny.

Tensions between the two regional adversaries have escalated since nuclear talks resumed between Iran and the United States in April.

Over the weekend, Iranian state media reported that intelligence agencies had obtained a cache of “strategic and sensitive” Israeli documents through a covert operation.

These reportedly include files detailing Israel’s nuclear capabilities and military strategies.

Iranian officials have claimed that the data also contains intelligence from Western nations, including the United States.

Iran’s Intelligence Minister, Esmail Khatib, stated that the documents will be made public soon and suggested they reveal critical information about foreign governments.

“They included information related to Western countries including the United States, and will be published soon,” he said.

Speaking on Monday, the head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Salami, said the newly acquired intelligence would improve the accuracy of Iran’s missile systems in any potential conflict.

“The impact of Iranian missiles [will be] more precise,” he declared.

Iran also pledged that any Israeli strike against its military or economic assets would be met with a “precisely proportional” response.

The long-running shadow war between Israel and Iran has included sabotage, cyberattacks, and assassinations, particularly targeting Iran’s nuclear scientists and infrastructure.

But direct exchanges escalated last year during the Gaza conflict, marking a shift toward more open confrontation.

Meanwhile, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said his organization had not received any “official communication” from Iran regarding the alleged intelligence haul.
