In an unusual but symbolic demonstration, the Vice Chancellor of Niger Delta University (NDU), Amassoma, Prof. Allen A. Agih led members of the university’s management staff in a public protest on Friday to enforce the institution’s policy of “No School Fees, No Exams.”
The awareness march took place around the university campus and was aimed at sensitizing students about the consequences of failing to pay their fees ahead of scheduled examinations.
The protest, described by observers as dramatic and unprecedented for a university administrator, was part of a broader effort to curb the increasing number of students defaulting on tuition payments.
Photos from the event captured the vice chancellor and top officials holding placards and addressing students directly as they moved through various parts of the campus.
University officials say the move is intended to reinforce accountability and ensure the sustainability of the institution’s operations.
