Three members of the House of Representatives from Enugu State, Prof. Paul Nnamchi (Enugu East/Isi Uzo), Hon. Chimobi Atu (Enugu North and South), and Hon. Cyracus Sunday Umeh (Ezeagu/Udi) have extended a warm welcome to their colleagues who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The lawmakers, who themselves had earlier moved from the Labour Party (LP) to the APC, issued a joint statement in Abuja on Thursday celebrating the new entrants into the party’s fold.
“We welcome our brothers with joy, pride, and solidarity to the APC family,” the statement read.
“Your decision to join our great party demonstrates courage, conviction, and a shared commitment to the unity and progress of Enugu State.”
They emphasized that the defection marks a new phase of collaboration within the Enugu State caucus of the House, fostering stronger political bonds and deeper cooperation.
“With all of us now in one political family, our collective voice and influence will be stronger,” they added.
“This development will enhance our ability to attract more federal projects and developmental initiatives to Enugu State.”
The lawmakers reaffirmed their dedication to advancing the interests of the state and strengthening the APC’s presence across Enugu.
