Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of emotional manipulation and abuse, alleging that he possesses her private video and has used her past drug use to discredit her.
In a series of posts shared via her Instagram handle on Sunday, the 25-year-old actress accused the Delta North senator of attempting to control her life and alienate her from her family.
Her comments came barely a day after Nwoko, in a lengthy post on X (formerly Twitter), accused Regina’s family of introducing her to drugs and frustrating efforts to rehabilitate her.
Responding to his claims, Regina wrote:
“Ned, how could you lie so openly and without remorse? You know my family has nothing to do with this. You’ve always tried to cut them off because of the bond we share, and now you’re trying to make them look bad for no reason.”
The actress admitted that she had used drugs in the past but accused her husband of exploiting that narrative to distract the public from what she described as his “emotional and physical abuse.”
“Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs’ because you knew it would make the perfect story,” she wrote.
Regina further alleged that Nwoko “thrived on breaking people down” and once told her she was “sexier when high.”
“You say you want me to go for rehab, but you’re the same Ned who always wanted me high because, in your words, I’m ‘sexier’ when I’m high. Why don’t you also tell them how you forced yourself on me whenever I said no?” she alleged.
She also accused him of locking her up, seizing her phones, and ordering doctors to administer medication meant for patients with bipolar disorder.
“You have never seen me act incoherent or lose control. Stop using the ‘drugs’ story to distract people,” she said.
According to her, the senator’s recent statements were motivated by “hurt and rejection” after the breakdown of their marriage.
“Every problem we have had started when I no longer wanted you—whether sober or high. You are hurt and struggling to accept that it’s over,” she wrote.
Hours later, Regina made another post alleging that Nwoko was in possession of her sex tape.
“Yes everyone! It is now history that ‘Regina Daniels’ did drugs because that’s what her husband wanted people to believe. Dearest ex-husband, thanks for breaking the crown you put on my head. I trusted you with all of me—even with my sex tape, which I pray never sees the light,” she stated.
“When I married you at 17, was I on drugs? My name may be ruined for now, but I will rewrite my story. I’m ready to fight you in court, you manipulative bastard!” she added emotionally.
In her posts, Regina vowed to pursue legal action, saying she would “fight with all of me in court.”
