Manchester City claimed the Carabao Cup title on Sunday after a 2–0 victory over Arsenal in the final at Wembley Stadium.
The breakthrough came in the second half after Arsenal goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga made a costly error, allowing a cross from Rayan Cherki to slip through his hands. Midfielder Nico O’Reilly capitalised to put City ahead.
O’Reilly struck again just minutes later to seal the win, securing Manchester City’s ninth League Cup title.
The result also handed manager Pep Guardiola a record fifth Carabao Cup triumph, further cementing his dominance in the competition.
Arsenal struggled to recover from the setback as City controlled proceedings to close out a comfortable victory at Wembley.
The defeat denies Arsenal a chance to end their cup drought, while Manchester City continue their strong domestic cup legacy under Guardiola.
