Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have booked their spot in the semi-finals of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations after a dramatic 3-1 penalty shootout victory over Senegal on Monday.

The intense quarter-final clash ended in a deadlock after regular time, with both teams unable to find the back of the net.

However, it was the Nigerians who held their nerve during the shootout, converting three spot-kicks while the Senegalese faltered.
