The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Hon. Emma Nwachukwu, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as the winner of the Anambra South Senatorial Bye-Election held on Saturday, DAILY GAZETTE reports.

According to the final results, Nwachukwu polled a total of 90,408 votes to defeat his closest rival, Hon. Okwuosa who is the candidate of the APC.

The results is as follows;

APGA – 90,408

APC – 19,847

YPP – 6,538

ADC – 2,889

PDP – 68

The bye-election was conducted in seven LGAs of Nnewi South, Nnewi North, Aguata, Orumba North, Orumba South, Ihiala and Ekwusigo.
