The Enugu State Police Command has published an updated list of telephone numbers of all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) across the state, as part of measures to strengthen security and ensure swift response to crimes and emergencies.

The disclosure, aimed at improving accessibility and enhancing public-police collaboration, was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Daniel Ndukwe.

According to the statement, the names and direct mobile phone contacts of the Area Commanders and DPOs, as contained in an attached flyer, are being made available to residents of Enugu State and the general public to facilitate prompt reporting of crimes and other security-related situations.

The initiative is particularly targeted at ensuring rapid police response during the festive season and beyond.

The Command further urged members of the public to make effective use of its Control Room emergency hotlines: 08032003702 and 08086671202.

Residents were also advised to utilise the Enugu State Command-and-Control Centre numbers: 112, 09134666668, and 09134448093, for timely reporting of emergencies and security concerns.

Reiterating the Police Command’s commitment to the safety of lives and property, the Commissioner of Police, Mamman Bitrus Giwa called on residents, visitors, and travellers within Enugu State to promptly report any security threats or credible information to the nearest Area Commander or Divisional Police Officer.

CP Giwa assured the public that the Command remains fully committed to maintaining peace and security throughout the yuletide period and beyond.

He also appealed to citizens to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and supportive of the Police in their collective effort to sustain safety and public order across the state.
