Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has reportedly been arrested following a heated online dispute linked to her fallout with a Lagos-based pastor.

The alleged arrest occurred on Saturday during a livestream in which Ogala was speaking with an online personality.

During the broadcast, she appeared to confirm the presence of police officers in her home after being asked directly if law enforcement officials were there.

In the course of the livestream, Ogala was also heard scolding a woman identified as Charity for allowing people into her residence despite prior warnings.

The interviewer advised the actress to keep her phone connected and asked whether the officers had presented a warrant.

The development was later amplified by comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Dee One, who announced on Instagram that Ogala had been arrested.

In his post, he claimed he had previously cautioned the actress over her allegations, stating that she would now have to defend her claims in court.

Efforts to obtain Ogala’s reaction were unsuccessful, as calls to her phone did not connect and messages sent to her WhatsApp line were yet to be returned at the time of filing this report.

Attempts to reach Dee One for further clarification also proved futile.

Meanwhile, a message sent by our reporter to a phone number linked to the church involved, saved on WhatsApp as Dr Chris Okafor, drew a response dismissing the reports as false.

The message urged the media to debunk what it described as rumours circulating online.

The controversy intensified after Ogala shared, and later deleted, a post allegedly showing the cleric in a private setting. In the accompanying caption, she accused him of dishonesty and claimed to have video evidence to back her allegations.

The incident comes days after the pastor reportedly married a new bride, identified as Pearl, despite Ogala’s viral accusations of betrayal, emotional manipulation and broken promises of marriage following what she described as a long-term relationship.

In several emotional videos posted online in recent days, Ogala alleged that the relationship began around 2017 and claimed she ended her previous marriage at the cleric’s urging.

She further accused him of abruptly terminating the relationship, leaving her emotionally distressed.

As of press time, no official statement has been issued by the police regarding the alleged arrest.
