On Saturday, May 31, the Super Eagles secured victory against Jamaica in a thrilling Unity Cup final decided by penalties.

During regular time, Nigeria took the lead twice with goals from Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze, but Jamaica matched them both times, resulting in a 2-2 draw by the end of the 90 minutes.

With no winner in regulation, the match proceeded directly to a penalty shootout.

Nigeria remained flawless from the spot, converting all their penalties, while goalkeeper Nwabali made a crucial save against Jamaica.

The shootout concluded 5-4 in Nigeria’s favor, with debutant Christantus Uche confidently netting the final penalty to seal the victory for the Super Eagles.
