Vice President Kashim Shettima and Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, have landed in London, United Kingdom, to receive the body of Nigeria’s late President, Muhammadu Buhari, who died on Sunday.
The two senior officials are leading the federal government’s delegation to the UK, which arrived in the early hours of Monday to coordinate the return of Buhari’s remains for burial in Nigeria.
Upon their arrival, the Nigerian delegation was welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, along with Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, and other dignitaries.
“Vice President Kashim Shettima and the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, have arrived in London, the United Kingdom, to receive the body of the late President, Muhammadu Buhari, who passed on on Sunday.”
Further details regarding funeral arrangements are expected to be announced soon by the presidency.
